As it turns out, they have another chance to open their eyes. Voucher proponents were caught in another lie:
jsonline: The Department of Justice (said) the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is not doing enough to ensure students with disabilities are fairly served by private voucher schools ... is seen as vindication for disability rights advocates who have long claimed that the private schools participating in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program have denied enrollment to children with some special needs, or forced them out of the school as a result of their disability, or behavior stemming from it.
What else aren't they telling us? Will parents "know what's best for their kids" after being barraged by deceptive slick advertising brochures and web sites? Ya think?
Recent recall challenger and winner Sen. John Lehman made the case well on Upfront with Mike Gousha. It's nice to see the Democrats finally put together a coherent and understandable message about vouchers.
You'll notice Republican Sen. Paul Farrow had nothing to offer as a comeback, not one good reason to expand vouchers. Farrow's voucher support is based on his belief in the concept, and therefore pure ideology.
