This WPT Here and Now report is the best analysis yet, maybe even WARNING, that exposes the budgetary house of cards being constructed by our Republican authority. It shows what happens when Walker's bizarre ideologically driven policy clashes with reality. Suffice it to say we're in for some real trouble, as the "kick-the-can-down-the-road" Republicans won't make the tough decisions that will help the state deal with its transportation problems. You know, it's never quite the right time to do anything.
Keep in mind, a recent Marquette Law School Poll found the public also doesn't want to spend a dime on transportation either, while still wanting the work done. Some conservative lawmakers know what needs to be done, but lack the leadership and courage to pull the trigger.
Just like during Bush, Republicans are proving to be the "borrow and spend" party. You won't like anything in this report. And Walker thinks he's presidential material? Zac Schultz doesn't hold back:
