Republicans have now created a replacement for the nonexistent ObamaCare death panel myth: Forced Visits!!!

Well, they’re not actually "forced" visits, but voluntary visits made to high risk families that really need the help in states that already have a home visit program. The key word, visits, means nothing forced. And it’s nothing new, but an expansion of grants to existing programs to reach out to more needy families. Does that sounds like government officials slamming down doors and taking our kids? To Republicans it does.

Republicans are now working feverishly to stop the “forced visits” they've only “heard about,” as stated in the following clip. You should also take note how they’re openly planning to limit "activist" local liberal areas of the state, a preemptive action they think will foil the spread of Democratic socialism.
Kent Brown and Rep. Rick Quinn discuss “forced” home inspections under Obamacare in the video below.

The militant conservative site Freedomoutpost.com mistakenly claims: “There is no reference to Medicaid being the determinant for a family to be ‘eligible.’” But, the rule starts with this:
"The purpose of the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Competitive Grant program is to award Development Grants to States that currently have modest home visiting programs..."
The rule applies to the above program through the Affordable Care Act. Is that not clear?

Freedomoutpost even quotes a right wing attorney who sounds absolutely out-of-his-mind:
Constitutional attorney and author Kent Masterson Brown states,
“This is not a “voluntary” program. Although the Obama administration would claim the provision applies only to Medicaid families, the new statute, by its own definition, has no such limitation. Intervention may be with any family for any reason. It may also result in the child or children being required to go to certain schools or taking certain medications and vaccines and even having more limited – or no – interaction with parents. The federal government will now set the standards for raising children and will enforce them by home visits.”
Yes, he actually said that. Could such an Obama overreach be true? Will we force children from their parents, give them medications, and raise them? Here’s the governments explanation as it appears in statute:
“…grants to States that currently have modest home visiting programs and want to build on existing efforts. The funding provided will build on the formula funding already provided to States and territories to support the quality implementation of home visiting programs. Priority for Serving High-Risk Populations and Programmatic Areas of Emphasis As directed in the legislation, successful applicants will give priority to providing services to the following populations…”
See, it’s right there somewhere…it’s implied, right? Freedom Out Post even found this outrageous:
A manual called Child Neglect: A Guide for Prevention, Assessment, and Intervention includes firearms as potential safety hazard.
How ridiculous to think guns would be unsafe for kids?

  1. Did you ever put your ego aside for 2 minutes to consider that it is maybe YOU who is out of your mind? Obviously not. I can tell by the countless number of comments to your posts just how many idiots still buy this liberal crap.

But hey, when they come to your door and say, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help," please please please...let them in and go with them. That should work out for ya.

No wonder I know so many people who think people in Wisconsin are detached from reality.

    1. What did John say that was false? If he is "out of his mind", tell us why.

Or, so you just have nothing but whining and name-calling, as usual? Step up or shut up.

And by the way, unlike righties, us libs aren't so needy that we have to post comments like "I agree!" "Way to go John!" Because we have things to do in the above-ground world

  2. You are a shining example of blind conservative obedience, looking past the proof I offered, and sticking with you self imposed lunacy. Crap? Nice comeback.

Thanks for proving my point. When I do get comments like this from anonymous trolls like you, I have to smile.

  3. I don't have time to debate idiots and give you a history lesson, but I will just briefly say that if you think these psychopaths care about you, and that you're going to get the healthcare they are promising, you're about to find out the hard way. When you're wondering, "how did it ever get this bad?" be sure to take a good long hard look in the mirror.

    1. Thank you for admitting you have nothing, troll. You have all the time in the world, you just don't have the guys or the brains.

  4. Yeah, like we're getting health care now? Can't wait to regret I have health insurance finally that isn't impossible to buy, along with a subsidy that reduces premiums under by half.
