Walker admits, he was advised to set up Defense Fund. You know, it's a job creator.

What does it tell you when the governor admits his lawyers recommended he set up a defense fund? Either he's got something to really worry about, or he is going to do everything he can to put off, obscure and block the investigation. Walker tried to look bored to death with his announcement, but his amazing admission was a blockbuster.

"It was done per our attorney talking with the Government Accountability Board. And after that, believing that was the recommendation for how best to proceed," Governor Walker said.

It seems 27 News missed the real headline when they posted this instead:
Gov. Walker says his attorneys told him he's not a target of John Doe inquiry
Really? WKOW 27:

  1. OOPS! CAUGHT IN A LITTLE WHITE LIE?

"Last week, the Governor's office said he had been told he is not a subject of the investigation, but he clarified that statement today.

"I haven't been told that directly. Others have been told that; attorneys who work for the campaign," Governor Walker said. He went on to say he doesn't know who told his attorneys and didn't ask.

  2. Thanks, that was the other big part of the story I should have included, and may still.

    Nice transcription too.
