Goodbye Republican talking point!!! They’ve lost that “keep
government out of health care decisions between a doctor and patient” argument.
Now, can the Democrats carry this gift and run with it?
“Big government” health care is a Republican problem. They’ve
been projecting their own desire to get between a doctor and patient onto
Democrats for years. Now we know.
With the massive wave of abortion legislation mandating
unnecessary procedures on patients by their doctors, how slippery is the slope
that many more big government Republican intrusions will find their way into
the examination room and hospitals?
This is only the beginning, starting with what is undoubtedly a political attack on women’s rights, an easy target considering the religious
rights already established wedge issue agenda.
Walker Republicans like free market health care, except
when it runs counter to their base:
jsonline: Under the bill, women could not receive drugs that induce abortions unless a doctor gives them a physical exam and is in the same room when they receive the drugs. If passed by the Assembly, that bill would go to Gov. Scott Walker. The legislation also would require doctors to speak privately with women at least 24 hours before the procedure to give them information and to determine whether they were coerced into seeking an abortion. Doctors could face a felony for ignoring the new rules.
The hammer of big government Republican health care couldn't be more threatening than adding a felony charge for missing an unnecessary informational
meeting to determine coercion.
Sounds like a police state when you lock doctors up for not
providing frivolous treatments or advice that run counter to politically motivated mandates.
