You would think they would be the first to support the public's victory, not lamenting the loss of one part of the voter suppression law. Another twist:
Channel3000:A Dane County judge has granted a temporary injunction against Wisconsin's new voter identification law, which he called "the single most restrictive voter eligibility law" in the country. Circuit Judge David Flanagan - who signed a petition for the recall of Gov. Scott Walker - made his ruling Tuesday, meaning the voter ID requirement would not apply for the April 3 presidential primary and local general election. That's right, Judge Flanagan signed a recall petition. Flanagan was a Tommy Thompson appointment too. You can almost feel the phony outrage building up around the state, soon to vented on talk radio. I suppose shouts of recusal will be demanded by the same party that saw no problem with Tea Party organizer Ginny Thomas working day and night trying to destroy the Affordable Care Act, something her husband Clarence will hear in his court soon. Would a judge who refused to sign a petition less biased?
Or Justice Michael Gableman's free legal work done by attorneys with cases before the state supreme court. Or Justice Prosser...etc. Dane County Circuit Judge David Flanagan's wife, circulated the petition, and she has every right to be politically active. Look at the people who turned out at Justice Prosser's electoral celebration. Every Republican operative.
The irony; voters in the REPUBLICAN primary won't have to show an ID. Lucky for the election crooks (if indeed there was such a thing as voter fraud).
Kathleen Falk also promises to role back the voter ID law in the clip below.
Yesterday's election in Ohio saw at least one more denial of the vote to an American vet. An 86 WWII vet was enraged he could not vote with his brand new VA Identity card.
ReplyDeleteThe state voter ID laws must become the business in the Civil Rights Div. of the DOJ. And the Democratic party should make loud noises that republican lawmakers deliberately excluded the official VA ID
cards. Unlike the prevailing political folklore, veterans know what a travesty Cheney/Bush created in Iraq and will vote accordingly...
I saw that story too, thanks for bringing it up.
ReplyDeleteBut the Democratic Party has yet to prove they know how to attack anything.
Why did it take a Georgetown law student to make the point about contraception? Democrats need to speed learn how to attack.
