State Rep. Candidate Dianne Hesselbein greets Ann Romney at Middleton's Hubbard Diner with Car Top Dog Cage!!! Plus, an Etch A Sketch moment!

Ann Romney was at Hubbard Avenue Diner this morning at 8 am (moved to the library next door), and was greeted by Democratic candidate for state representative Dianne Hesselbein. This is here Facebook post today:
"Professional clothing check, getting the kids up early check, looking forward to breakfast at Hubbard check, searching and finding a large stuffed animal dog check, dog cage on top of car check. Oh this is going to be a fun morning!"
Nice to see this kind of Democratic activism and backbone for once. This is what the party needs at the Capitol.

Sly in the Morning also reported how one individual tried to hand Ann Romney an Etch A Sketch:

  1. I'm not sure what the symbolism of the dog/dog cage is, but it's always good to see a grown up Democrat acting like a child.

  2. Uh, I guess ya didn't hear about how the Romney Family decided to show us what a cool down to earth bunch they are... ya know ol salt of the earth types. Well the decided to road trip it together, family style, pack the kids and yes even the dog. Now they had a pretty full SUV with the whole fam damily so they put the family dog in its 'cage' and strapped him on the roof! When the poor creature was traumatized and sick up there, and crapped all over the place, Mittens dropped the anchors, put the car wash hose on the dog and car, and proceeded thusly on the family road trip. Get it now?

  7. Dianne hessebein lives by me. I recall a woman going door to door for her campaign, criticizing me for being republican. That's a sure way to get votes.
