After Nazi comment, GOP Rep. Joe Sanfelippo was asked: "Did you just call my Dane County Deputies Nazis?" Yes.

Republicans are so over us, any accountability and the laws that govern everybody else. Republican Rep. Joe Sanfelippo said that those laws, similar to the ones used by the Nazis, still apply to regular citizens, but not politicians.

Why some law enforcement groups still choose to back Republicans is a mystery to me, especially after Sanfelippo's Nazi comparison. Where do guys like this come from...not Wisconsin?

Here's the exchange featuring Sanfelippo, Dianne Hesselbein, and Chris Danou. A clarifying moment:

Republicans will never solve Transportation Funding Problem: Can't raise taxes, can't stop cutting taxes.

You know, maybe we should study the problems created by Republican lawmakers who've delayed road building projects around the state, resulting in much higher costs to taxpayers later on. Studying is good, because we've seen how well that's worked solving our algae bloom problem in Green Bay, not to mention our rivers and lakes. Study, study, study. 

Republicans will never solve these problems, period. They can't raise taxes, and they can't stop cutting taxes. End of story. It's just a matter of the public catching on sooner rather than later.

Democrats aren't afraid to tell taxpayers that something has to be done, noting the consequences for inaction. And yes, a new taxing formula is inevitable. Rep. Dianne Hesselbein, D-Middleton, clearly gets it, while Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke, R-Kaukauna, has no intention of committing political suicide raising taxes or ending tax cuts. So who's the grownup? Who's the leader?

Steineke doesn't even see how the state would have $300 million more to spend on transportation if they just took the Medicaid expansion deal. I have to admit, that pretty much said it all.

The intent is to cripple unions and move employees toward the economic status of Chinese and Vietnamese working in virtual slavery. Right-to-work legislation has not benefited the middle and working class families in neighboring states, and it will not benefit hard-working Wisconsinites.

What changes do you want to see in state environmental laws and regulations?

Hesselbein: I want out-of-state companies to stop donating $700,000 to campaign committees that in turn write legislative bills detrimental to the state of Wisconsin. I want clear, rigorous laws enacted by state legislators that provide a better life for Wisconsin citizens, not for outside interests. We simply cannot permit long-term devastation of our environment by corporate carpetbaggers seeking short-term profits.

Ann Romney was at Hubbard Avenue Diner this morning at 8 am (moved to the library next door), and was greeted by Democratic candidate for state representative Dianne Hesselbein. This is here Facebook post today:

"Professional clothing check, getting the kids up early check, looking forward to breakfast at Hubbard check, searching and finding a large stuffed animal dog check, dog cage on top of car check. Oh this is going to be a fun morning!"

Nice to see this kind of Democratic activism and backbone for once. This is what the party needs at the Capitol.
