Tell me if this isn't odd; Walker and the Fitzgerald brothers legislature didn't want to hear how teachers felt about their classrooms or their students needs, so they took away collective bargaining and handed them a policy manual.
At the same time Republicans now hypocritically expect us to believe hook-line-and-sinker those same "union thugs" when they tell us how well things are working under Scott Walker’s budget cuts? Are they just loco?
As it turns out, one featured teacher (Kristi) had been thinking about leaving the profession for a couple of years, while the latest, Jeff, gets it completely wrong. Thanks to Uppity Wisconsin for the heads up;
Scott Walker has a new ad featuring Jeff Knudson, a fourth grade teacher in the Monona Grove school district. Knudson claims: "When the state budget passed in Madison, a lot of us thought we might lose our jobs. We figured if we didn't get laid off, our class sizes would become unmanageable. But that didn't happen."
But to hear Monona Grove superintendent Craig Gerlach’s assessment, Jeff is either flat out lying, or he's also leaving the profession. At the least, he's betraying and letting down his fellow teachers. I've combined the “Jeff” ad with Sup. Gerlach’s comments;
