Even Texas Rejected Elements of New Wisconsin Concealed Carry Bill.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort, (WAVE), Educational Fund: Senator Alberta Darling and the Republicans on the Joint Finance Committee approved an extreme concealed weapons bill yesterday.  “Senator Darling and the Republicans just approved a measure that even the most staunchly pro‐gun states in the country have deemed too risky.” This legislative session, bills to legalize the carrying of concealed weapons on college campuses were rejected in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Louisiana.  Wisconsin’s bill allows guns on campus. The bill, expected to be taken up by the full Senate on Tuesday, also allows gun carriers to consume alcohol.

“Other than the NRA‐intoxicated legislators who are supporting this bill, does anyone think mixing guns and alcohol is a good idea?” asked Bonavia.  “For these legislators to put the public in grave danger in their attempt to please the NRA is unconscionable and disgusting.”

  1. The bill would allow carry on campus, but schools can still ban carrying inside the buildings.

Also, it's not law-abiding citizens people should be afraid of. Will criminals get permits? Nope. Will criminals care if a sign says they can't carry a gun somewhere? Nope.

  2. That's where you're wrong. CC laws turn everybody into someone to be afraid of.

First the paranoid gun nuts, second they're trigger happy, third they think other people will trust a complete stranger carrying a gun. You even think so.

Wrong. And I can't wait till we make every building in the state look like crap with no carry signs posted outside their business. White gun toting trash don't seem to care.

Yes, the criminals become afraid of the law abiding citizens.

Based on what data? You now have 41 states that are "shall issue" of CCW permits. From the FBI, the number of murders last year were approximately 12.5K. There are roughly 7 million with CCW permits and 300 million guns according to the ATF.
In 1991 there were only 12 states and 230 million guns and the number of murders hit its peak that year at over 25K by the FBI.
The cities with the strictest gun laws have a higher murder rate per capita than the ones that don't.
What stats have you found that proves otherwise from a neutral souce?

  4. Also, the comment about AZ "rejecting" carrying on campus is very inaccurate. The house and senate passed the bill and was vetoed by Gov. Brewer because she caved into to the handful in charge of the campuses. Many people in this state were not happy about. So it was not by the will of the people that she vetoed it.

  5. Democurmudgeon. I don't even see how you have persuaded your self to be leave what you wrote. I mean every one will agree, you cant fix stupid.
when your staring down a barrel of a gun of a criminal who has intent to inflict harm, you will be praying for some one like me or hundreds of thousands like me to be close by. Or some one break in to your home. You will be praying your neighbor is like us. Are you really that stupid? Criminals dont care about gun laws. Their going to have them any way. I guess that old saying is true. YOU CANT FIX STUPID!
You really havnt put much thought in to this have you?
