Republican Tea Party now wants IRS involved in ObamaCare?

I thought the tea party Republicans hated ObamaCare because (1) they didn't want the IRS involved, and (2) citizens gave up too much supposed "unsecured" information to bureaucrats.

So imagine my surprise when the senate and the house Republican tea party proposed this:

The changes are on the Affordable Care Act side. Like the Senate plan, (the house plan) toughens income verification under the federal health-care law.

Weren't Republicans against adding more IRS agents once? Can anyone be this wrong so many times over one shutdown point?
