While everyone else gets their budgets cut, Milwaukee County
Sheriff David Clarke wants to spend taxpayer money like a drunken sailor on
building up his replacement government with
enforcement.
And here I thought the
armed citizens of Milwaukee, according to Clarke’s costly PSA, would do just
fine using deadly force. Who needs more public employees?
Clarke says he does anyway.
jsonline: Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. wants to add
137 positions to his staff next year … Clarke also is seeking 35 more
correctional officers for the county jail … The expansions are detailed in
Clarke's 2014 budget request and would mean a 17% increase, or $15 million, in
tax levy support over his current budget. That would bring his budget to $99.6
million for next year.
My conservative friend just loves this guy. I wonder if he
loves him as much now?
