OakcreekPatch: Gov. Scott Walker will be in Oak Creek Tuesday, (for) the "Moving Wisconsin Forward Rally" at 2:30 p.m. at KEI-824 W. Rawson Ave., for an event with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. "New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will meet with local residents and encourage supporters to continue spreading the word on how Governor Walker's reforms are turning Wisconsin around," according to the media advisory.
Yeah? Though Christie doesn’t have the worst record on job
creation, it’s not great either. Republican governors aren't having a terrific time convincing people trickle down works with their own job numbers...NJHerald:
The biggest job declines in March were reported in Ohio (Gov. Kasich), which lost 9,500 jobs, and New Jersey (Christie), which lost 8,600 positions. Wisconsin (Walker) posted the third biggest loss, a decline of 4,500. Some states, (with Democratic governors) reported healthy job gains: New York added 19,100 jobs, California gained 18,200.
And like Walker, and predicted by Sen. Alberta Darling, Gov.
Chris Christie sees policy failure as another reason to continue cutting taxes.
Gov. Chris Christie said the 8,600 jobs the state lost in March bolster his case for cutting taxes and not increasing them. "I think the good part of it is, I think that anyone around here who thinks that, 'Oh, things are getting better around here so we can raise taxes on people,' — this is a good cautionary tale to the folks in the Legislature … That's why we need to get to cutting taxes for the people of New Jersey.”And they keep digging and digging....
