The point of this post is to show how easy it is to soundly beat Paul Ryan in a debate.
Even Rep. Steny Hoyer, who struggles to make his point, easily beats back Ryan's BS.
On Face the Nation, Paul Ryan makes the claim that his plan and changes to Medicare originally started out as a Democratic idea. He's not kidding. Not only was it a bad point make, but did Ryan really want to remind everyone that the health care reform mandate actually DID start out as a Republican idea in the 90's.
Ryan wrongly claimed the deficit commission recommended "supply side economics," completely ignoring the tax increases that were also part of their plan. Supply side is commonly known as "voodoo economic." As Steny Hoyer argues, we tried that in the 80's and again under Bush, and it failed both times miserably.
One thing is clear, Ryan's debate deficiencies are becoming more obvious with each challenge. If he isn't reaching into his bag of focus group tested talking points, or struggling to defend what has already failed globally, he'll never stop trying to sell us on his whole reason for living; "trickle down" free market greed.
