Grover Norquist defends no tax pledge; Obama called Romney "poopy head" and will raise taxes on energy.

Grover Norquist is well rehearsed and still mentally 12 years old.

Watching this grotesquely ideological tightwad is almost comical now, when you consider the fact  that an entire party bought into his swindle so easily.

Remember Norquist came up with his no tax pledge when he was 12. His idea has the depth and intellectual power of a 12 year old. It even makes less sense today. The juvenile male right wingers who have never grown up will always take the easy way out. A plan hatched by a 12 year old is so simple even they can understand it.

In what could be described as a very controlled temper tantrum Norquist insists nothing has changed, even though Obama ran on increasing taxes on the wealthy and won.

Even funnier is his unintentional shot at Scott Walker. At the end of the video clip, he blames Obama for pursuing an energy tax, a tax that sounds eerily similar to Walker's proposed gas tax increase at the pumps for road builders.
Norquist: "His goal as you saw after the election, is to raise energy taxes on the middle class, not something he mentioned during the campaign."
CBS News:

The Hill: "We just had an election: The House of Representatives was elected, committed to keeping taxes low. The president was elected on the basis that he was not Romney and that Romney was a poopy-head and you should vote against Romney," Norquist said on CBS's "This Morning."

Norquist said that Romney’s team had failed to push back hard against negative campaign ads. "You saw those ads that suggested Romney gave people cancer in Ohio for months and months unanswered. You can trash an individual and get people to vote against him," he said.

Norquist, like many Republicans, rejected the idea that the results of the election — which left President Obama in the White House and Democrats controlling the Senate — equaled a mandate for the Democratic agenda.

  1. My response to Norquist is this petition; I hope many will sign it and encourage others to do so! Time is of the essence!

Most Republican Congressional Representatives and Senators signed a pledge to Grover Norquist that they would not raise taxes, This has stymied Congressional budget action, Now is the time for those individuals to prove that they are open to compromise by having a public burning of those pledges. At the same time, join with President Obama in creating a federal budget that is reasoned and based on the findings and recommendations of the Congressional Budget Office.

That's why I created a petition to The United States House of Representatives and The United States Senate, which says:

"Burn all Norquist anti-tax pledges and show us you are working cooperatively with President Obama for a reasoned federal budget based on facts."
