Venue shopping for judges, disobeying the law when it comes to health care exchanges, protecting the overtly partisan conservative Supreme Court in the upcoming election, environmental rape via mining and tax cuts, are all part of the Walker Authority's unstoppable agenda. I'm also guessing a statewide voucher push, whether localities like it or not, will be a top priority. Remember, this state will not reflect the many years of Democratic influence when these authoritarians get done.
Sen. Scott Fitzgerald wondered out loud to talk host Vicki McKenna how odd it was for the courts to act so independently, undoing the will of the people. I know, it makes me nervous too.
It's disappointing to see the state government run like a banana republic, without one Democratic vote. This is a radically out-of-control conservative government, hell bent on steamrolling their agenda over half the population in our state. The recent election and Democratic wins for president, senate and house, meant nothing to these zealots, who know they wouldn't have made any gains in the legislature without gerrymandering.
They're still living in their own fragile, nightmarish sounding alternate reality. You'd never know we were a purple...mostly blue state. What I'm eagerly waiting for from my party; a promise to undo everything the Walker Authority passed during their occupation, and replace it with smart government.
There are several issues coming up that make me pause. Mining, health exchanges and Right To Work. How do you stop this when you have no voice?
ReplyDeleteDemocrats will remain dumb and silent even past the point of Walker penning his X to the right-to-work-for-less legislation. Count on it. County D party operatives controlling everything allowable to be uttered want to keep their gatekeeper status and the failed capitalist duopoly. They are all largely invested in it.
