No unions, Now Lower wages the next big Republican movement nationwide.

Hey, times are tough. You're lucky you still have a job.

The Republican call for lower wages is nothing new. For them, an employee who expects to make a decent wage thinks their "entitlement" to it, and that can't happen. Who they think will buy from and support these big corporate job makers is anybody's guess.

Bizjournal: A bill proposed by Wisconsin Rep. Mary Williams (R-Medford) would remove wage requirements from small public construction projects and roll back other wage rules state legislators approved in 2008.
Now under Wisconsin law, governments must pay construction workers a prevailing wage on public projects. The rates are based on average wages paid on private projects in each county.
Since January 2010, the wage requirements have applied to all public projects worth at least $25,000. William’s bill would increase the threshold to $250,000 and exempt public projects overseen by towns with fewer than 10,000 residents. The bill also exempts from wage requirements privately financed projects to build public utilities.
What this amounts to is governmental sweatshop labor. Now you see what Scott Walker really means in the state slogan, "Open for Business."
