The Walker Paranoids Lock the Capitol Up from Protesting Police and Firefighters for their Unpopular Public Policies.

How odd is it for the Walker administration to protect itself from protesting law enforcement employees and firefighters?

Odder still, the administration is worried about security at the Capitol while getting ready to make Wisconsin a safer place with a “Constitutional Carry” law that would not require a license or training. Oh, and don’t forget to go through the Capitol’s metal detectors guarding against firearms.

Doh!
WRN: More than two months after large scale protests ended at the state Capitol, access remains restricted to just two of the eight ground floor doors of the building. Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch admits it can be inconvenient for visitors, but it’s unlikely to change soon.
Huebsch says there is no set date for when, or even if, all doors will open and metal detectors will be removed.
The Huebsch dictates are meant to wall off public decent, while the Walker agenda is “rammed through.”
Huebsch says the ongoing legal battle over the collective bargaining bill, which sparked the protests, means continued security measures are needed to keep protesters from again occupying the building.
It’s strange how just few tea party protesters who shouted down politicians, somehow legitimized public unrest for conservatives, while millions of Wisconsinites marching around the Capitol for over a month and a half were not taken seriously.

The fact that Huebsch admits that doors are locked, access is limited, and metal detector screenings are required should cause him legal concern soon, but...
He still believes the state is complying with a court order that requires the building to remain open to the public. A Dane County Judge next week will hear arguments in a lawsuit claiming the state is not complying with that court order to fully reopen the Capitol.
