I continue to be fascinated by the Republican challenger to Democratic Sen. Jim Holperin, Kim Simac. Can the leader of the fringe Northwoods Patriots tea party energize enough voters with trash talk like the following? And I thought professional wrestling was over the top mindless exploitation. I have even more Simac video coming to this post, in what I think is not only a perfect example of reverse Amercanism, but a strange movement to make real an illusionary world of one mindedness.
Kim Simac, president of the Northwoods Patriots and a leader of the Tea Party movement in Wisconsin, is running against Democrat Jim Holperin for State Senate in the upcoming recall election. “In this economy, people in the Northwoods are begging for jobs and Jim Holperin ran away from the job we sent him to do.”
To believe Kim Simac, I would also have to believe I am the enemy within. Even more outlandish is to hear how much she loves a country that never really existed, and in her words, is on the brink of disaster. In a little over two and a half years under a black president, the country she defended under Bush is struggling to survive. Funny how that happened.
Shilling for her corporate sugar daddy, Americans for Prosperity, Simac proudly defends their takeover of America speaking behind a sign reading "I am AFP." Simac admits our generation bankrupted our nation. You mean to say George W. Bush, his congress, and their corporately backed Great Recession? Yeah, now she's figured it out.
