Conservative Talk Radio Declining Dramatically, or has it always been this low?

This is a big story!

Having been in the radio business for over 25 years, about ten in political talk radio, I know a little about the inside workings of our corporate media.

What we thought we knew is all wrong.

The old ratings system depended on listeners filling out diaries according to their loyalties and memory. Maybe even a little lying. But with the new people metering system in place, actual listening habits have revealed something even more shocking; our favorite conservative talk show hosts aren't as popular as we thought they were.

MSNBC's Cenk Uygur and talk radio consultant Holland Cooke blow the lid off what might bring about a major shift in radio programming and a few less conservative talkers. Conservative talk radio now dominates 92 percent of the talk radio dial based on opinion based survey diaries. But the new people meters are tamper/opinion proof.
