Michigan Emergency Manager cuts Power to Detroit area on a Whim, just to Send strong Message.

I've always thought that when Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder's replaced elected officials around the state with "emergency managers," it was one of the most visible signs of conservative authoritarianism to date.

Emergency managers so far have not solved Michigan's problems, and in fact, took the easy way out in Detroit. Here's what could happen, when an arrogant emergency manager on a whim made one very unaccountable error in judgement.  Yet no one in the media covered it. Heads up Republicans, this what happens when austerity takes the place of  infrastructure upkeep. Media Matters:
