Uh Oh, Government Workers do Make More than Private Sector? But the Devils in the Details.


After looking over the Facebook page of conservative talker Vicki McKenna, I found this revealing  “doh” moment:
Vicki McKenna: CBO: one more study showing government workers paid more than private sector workers.”
Ah, but there's a reason for that. One thing, if she and here Facebook flunkies would take the time to read the stories they link too, I wouldn't have to waste my time correcting them. Here's my response to her:
Read the story. If you think the federal government should start hiring teens and young adults, with little or limited educational experience, then you'd be making a lousy business decision. The story clearly states: "Federal workers tend to be older, more educated, and more concentrated in professional occupations than private-sector workers." Think that would make a big difference? Anyone stumped on this one?
