Republicans Voters Being Duped by their elected Representatives...no complaints?

It looks like my first impression and interpretation turned out to be right; Republican were purposely going to lie to the public about supposed reasoning for redistricting, all the while drawing up incredibly partisan districts.

Here’s the account as reported in the josonine:
Talking points telling Assembly Republicans to ignore public comments about new election maps were apparently created for one of the Legislature's top leaders, Rep. Robin Vos. The document, created by Assembly aide Adam Foltz, was saved on his computer as "Talking Points for Robin."

The talking points said: "Public comments on this map may be different than what you hear in this room. Ignore the public comments."

Earle said Wednesday the talking points were an explicit message to all Republicans that leaders planned to tell the public something different about the maps than what they were saying in private.

The new maps greatly favor Republicans for elections starting this fall, but those who drew the maps have claimed they were not drawn to improve the GOP's majority.
Again, it's up to Republican voters to either go along with being lied to by their representatives, or tossing them out for trying to play them for fools. I think we already know the answer...But that's not all, you won't believe Scott Fitzgerald's response:

Peter Earle, one of the attorneys suing over the new election maps, said the talking points showed Republicans planned to tell the public something different about the maps than what they were saying in private. "What those words meant was the Republican leaders would be making public comments to justify these maps and those comments should be ignored," Earle said.

Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald (R-Horicon) said Earle was wrong about that. "They're interpreting it wrong," he said. "Why would I have them ignore comments I made in public about maps?"
