Republicans don't want to track the cost of road projects that could cost taxpayer tens of thousands of dollars, and instead, want to be surprised at the end of the year. That would be when the money is gone. And gone will be the states cost analysis for the accurate, wing and a prayer.
By using private contractors and instead of public employees, the state feeds their contributors with money, at the expense of taxpayers. Rep. Mark Honadel wants it this way so much, he's willing to change the law to cover up the expense. They're not even trying to hide what they're doing. Would I make this stuff up? Even WISC 3 reporters appear amazed:
