Republican Men Attacking Women's Privacy unaware of male half of unintended pregnancies.

The whole Republican attack on women came to Wisconsin in the most vacuous way. The sponsor of the ultrasound bill, Sen. Mary Lazich, had to fill lots of time on senate floor huffing and puffing absolute nonsense (see the video) that came across as bitter, misogynistic, big government, and brutally harmful to women thinking about an abortion than supposedly helpful.

It's odd how men are never mentioned, and never held responsible for causing a pregnancy. Women pay twice as much for health insurance due to maternity coverage, while the guys packing their concealed sperm guns, don't have to pick up half that tab in their own policies. Why don't they?

As a final word on the new law, I thought I'd post Rachel Maddow's take on it, where she featured Rep. Mandy Wright's heart wrenching speech to a deaf, dumb and ideologically blind Republican Party.

Men know what's best for women on abortion, forced ultra sounds, control over birth control pills and yet have nothing to do with pregnancy. The Onion looks at the cautionary tale of what happens to a woman without the supervision of a male companion in "The Wizard of Oz."
