My goal here at Democurmudgeon has always been about trying to explain the conservative thought process, and how it evolves (devolves is more like it). A reckless and unintentional turn of a phrase is often more revealing than their list of talking points.
Tea Party Rep. Mick Mulvaney gave us an insight into the conversations conservatives have behind the scenes, as they decide in Borg like fashion, policy positions. It's all about who deserves a say in American policy.
Who are the middle and working class poor, who don't make enough money to pay federal taxes, to demand the rich pay their fair share of taxes? This is a new one on me, and pretty convoluted. Conversely, it would kind of hard for someone who doesn't make a living wage to pay taxes and still stimulate the economy via spending, thus creating demand.
