State Assembly Republicans Frightened by Silent Protesters with signs in public gallery.

Brought to my attention by Sly in the Morning, Facebook's "Shit Scott Walker is doing to My State" and posted at Currentdotcom, this chilling video of citizens being removed from the state assembly for simply and silently wearing a sign of protest pretty much says it all about our authoritarian Republican slip into creeping fascism.

Credit should be given to Rep. Fred Kessler, Terese Berceau and Mark Pocan for perfectly articulating how bad this makes us look as a state government, and how unimaginable these removals are in the U.S. by a party that supposedly advocates freedom and liberty. It's all a big Republican lie, and a warning your rights are next, depending on how someone frames them as politically objectionable.

Posted at Current.com, this quote from Martin Niemöller:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me
