Just how bad was the local media coverage of the Madison Labor Temple's recall concert, with headliners Jackson Browne and Tom Morello? Only one station, WKOW, had any video of the event. And that was balanced off with a Koch brothers Americans for Prosperity tour bus stop.
And the massive tea party gathering of Walker seniors.
The online Cap Times wrote a nice detailed piece on the rally, HERE.
I am writing from outside the state. We don't see all the ads that you are seeing on TV. I do see some of them on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteFrom the outside (and I may be wrong), it looks as if the mainstream media has been too soft on Walker. And that means that if people are not very political, and they don't dig for information, they may have only received the whitewashed, Eagle Scout version of Walker.
Thank goodness for blogs like this that have been much more truthful than the mainstream press!
I should add that there are a few mainstream reporters who have dared to cover Walker accurately. They deserve our thanks too because I imagine they've taken some grief for doing so.
I'm inside the state and you are right, Anonymous. I've read coverage of events I've attended and wondered how the "reporter" could have been at the same event. Last night's Tom Morello concert was just perfect; lots of people of all ages and lots of energy. It's really something to see folks from 70 to 7 all pumping their fists in the air and jumping up and down!
ReplyDeleteI need proof that Walker was an Eagle Scout - he's mislead us on so many things; you just gotta wonder.
