If this wasn't part of the trend line away from the reality based world, it would be funny. But we're now seeing an entire party detach completely. Imagine if these guys were in charge and everything went wrong under their policies? They would deny it, and then double down. We're in real trouble. But...
...since when were Republicans worried about higher wages and the quality of jobs in their plans to put people to work? If their attacks on public workers wages and benefits in the last year and a half were any indication, the race to the bottom is just what they were hoping for. Yet for political reasons, they are portraying their stealth attempts to lower wages and kill the minimum wage as horrible news...because of Obama, thanks to his failed socialist policies:
AEI: Yes, the U-3 unemployment rate fell to 7.8%, the first time it has been below 8% since January 2009. But that’s only due to a flood of 582,000 part-time jobs.
And take-home pay? Over the past 12 months, average hourly earnings have risen by just 1.8 percent. When you take inflation into account, wages are flat to down … workers who’ve given up looking — stayed unchanged at 14.7%.
