WSJ: You've
probably seen a clip from Brad Lichtenstein's documentary "As Goes
Janesville," although you didn't realize it. That infamous clip of Gov.
Scott Walker telling a well-heeled Republican supporter for his "divide
and conquer" strategy of dealing with Wisconsin unions was captured by
Lichtenstein's camera.
Monday is a big day for "As Goes Janesville." The film airs in
Wisconsin and nationwide on public television as part of the Independent Lens
series, airing on Wisconsin Public Television at 9 tonight.
It aired tonight, Oct. 8!
ReplyDeleteI was riveted. The main characters were Sen. Tim Cullen, banker Mary Willmer Sheedy, and two former GM plant workers. Gov. Walker was in the film quite a lot too. I wonder what people outside of Janesville thought about it. No wonder Yuri Raskin is an activist; he had to stand alone against a proposal for the city to spend $70K per job to get a start up business to locate in Janesville.
