I don't really have a story for the headline, but it's an impression I'm getting from outright phony outrage from Republican legislators who wish they could budget like the UW.
They can certainly call for debating the amount in the surplus, but the threats being thrown around right now don't exactly say, "let's talk." Check out the alligator tears shed by our concerned Republican authority, who've cut UW funding for years, and who have wanted to break it up. On a national level, Republicans want banks to plunder student loans again with market rates much higher than the current 3.4 %. How does 6.8% sound to student parents?
