State Sen. Wanggaard wants Unconstitutional ban on protesting outside his home.

Despite the appalling Supreme Court ruling that preacher Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church has the constitutional right to disrupt funerals and businesses screaming anti-gay comments, the decision should have given a certain state senator a clue about trying to silence protesters in front of his house.

Can you imagine the convoluted kind of country these “pocket constitution” Republicans would put in place if they had their way.
Journal Times: After protesters picketed at Sen. Van Wanggaard's house in recent weeks, he is now looking into a bill to prohibit picketing at private residences.
"When they come to my house it's intimidating and threatening," said Wanggaard, R-Racine. There are some local ordinances against certain picketing at private residences, he said. He would like to see it included in state statutes and is in the initial stages of drafting a proposal. He doesn't have a problem with them going to his office, he said, but when people picket in neighborhoods that is a different story.
