Apparently Republicans have never heard of what most of us know as, the "increasing cost of living." Things get more expensive as time goes on. Energy to whatever. So cutting the funds to rein in "loose nukes" material is okay by them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we just go through an entire decade listening to Republicans pound their chests about how they prevented another attack on our country, and prevented a possible mushroom cloud from appearing in a city near us?
Forget all that. Rachel Maddow:
jsonline: Janesville’s Paul Ryan is among six top House Republicans targeted in new radio ads attacking the GOP for cutting funding for nuclear non-proliferation programs ... 20% cut in Department of Energy nuclear non-proliferation funds compared to the White House proposal of $2.7 billion for the current fiscal year. “Cong. Paul Ryan is making it easier for terrorists to get nuclear weapons,” says retired Army Lt. Gen. Robert Gard in one radio spot, calling the cuts “reckless.” Gard is with the Council's sister organization, the Center for Arms Control and Non Proliferation.
