As the pressure was building, Ryan made the most honest slip of the tongue yet, that the problem isn't that we're overtaxed!!! I'd use it in an ad. Ryan then corrects himself, but it's too late. A simple misstatement, or Freudian slip? He then generalizes the meaning of "family," which not surprising, includes families in the top 2 percent as well.
