The Conspiratorial Paradigm spurs on Middle East Protests over Supposed U.S. Government anti-Muslim film.

I couldn't help but see parallels.

The tea party not only represents a radicalization of the GOP, but what could be a mob like element that is easily stoked by alarmist radio talkers, who spew what can only be described as conspiratorial theories vilifying Democratic Americans and Pres. Obama.

This is the conclusion I came to while watching an explanation of the violence we're seeing now against our American consulates in the Middle East, in what were dictatorial nations that fostered and depended on conspiracy theories to hold power.

Below, Rachel Maddow focuses on the ridiculous conspiracy theory that ties the U.S. government to the cheap film that continues to spur on the violence, with correspondent Richard Engel
Engel: "There's a mentality that has engulfed this region in the last 40 years. The regions dictators are partly responsible for imposing this mentality. That is, a "closed circuit." It is a way of looking at the world that sees it from a conspiratorial paradigm, and that was convenient for the dictators because it got people hating the west, hating Israel, hating America, and not hating their own leaders..."
