In a press release titled “Making Wisconsin Irresistible to
Business,” WMC President Kurt Bauer made it very clear he wants everything
without paying for it with tax revenues. How that’s possible is anybody’s
guess.
Perhaps in another press release, Bauer can provide the magic
incantation we’ll need to take the place of money:
The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) Board discussed what reforms would make Wisconsin irresistible during its recent strategic planning meeting. Among other things, Board members identified the need to lower the state’s traditionally high income and property taxes…
…there goes the needed state revenues for...
…maintaining transportation infrastructure at a time when gas tax proceeds are declining, ensuring K-12 students are better career- and college-ready (both four year and technical).Shall we try "Mekka lekka hi, mekka hiney ho?" "Klaatu barada nikto?" "Bibbidi-bobbidy-boo?" "Abracadabra...?"
You missed the second part- it's lowering THEIR income and property taxes. For us that work real jobs? Get ready to pay up!
ReplyDeleteWMC are the real takers, and those slimeballs need to be taken out. And note the Briggs and Stratton's CEO is the ex-Chairman if the WMC Board. Think their "future jobs expansion " announcement (which is just as likely not to happen) has something to do with a future payback from their boy Scotty?
