Wisconsin GOP building case to suppress votes, to save money.

Elections are too much work, filled with unfunded mandates, and way too costly.

So...let's keep more people away from voting?

This is an early warning of things to come on the subject of voter suppression. Republicans love to save taxpayer dollars, bragging about how much they'll save, even at the expense of voting? Why not.

Here's a short bit about how "costly" early voting is in Ohio, from Rachel Maddow and E.J. Dionne, that surprisingly is the perfect setup for another clip I came across that shows how serious this threat is.

From 2010, this press conference by GOP politicians whining and complaining about the Democratic plan to expand absentee and early voting in Wisconsin. Guess what, it's too much work, way too costly. Voters expect more accurate elections, not a lot of votes to count. Would I kid you?

This is a precursor to future arguments limiting the right to vote. Every one of these reasons will be a part of the slippery slope to more restrictions. Now's the time to go on the offensive, right Democrats...you there?
