VP pick Paul Ryan trashed for his 28 year balanced budget plan.

Big surprise? With Paul Ryan as the pick, it'll be a great break for his district, Democratic opponent Rob Zerban (zer-bon), and a spectacle to watch. This is has been a transformative year for Ryan too, who's latched on to strictly partisan trash talk, as a substitute for his inability to defend his wildly draconian policies. The numbers don't add up either.
jsonline: Several national news outlets, including Fox News and NBC News, reported late Friday night that Mitt Romney has chosen 42-year-old Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as his running mate.
Here's the not so subtle clue....
Romney will announce the choice Saturday morning in Norfolk, Virginia, at the USS Wisconsin.
Ed Schultz talked to ConservativeHQ's Richard Viguerie, the old sage, who tried but failed to make sense out of Ryan's plan to spend $4 trillion in the first four years while expecting future congresses to spend the next 28 years trying to balance the budget. When you think of it, it's really crazy.

Remember when Republicans laughed at the CBO for trying to predict the 20 year savings of the Affordable Care Act?

  1. Not necessarily a break for voters in Ryan's congressional district as he gets to run both for congress and VP, and then chosing which seat to take if he wins both. Ridiculous, I know, but that's how the law works. On the other hand, I think a national debate about the "quality" of Ryan's views and proposals might help Rob Zerban defeat him, especially riding on the coattails of an Obama victory in Wisconsin.
