As I’ve mentioned before, the Congress should make it illegal for any elected politician or candidate to make any and all pledges to anyone or anything. The exception of course, is their pledge to uphold the Constitution.
CNN: Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum was initially “taken aback” by a pro-marriage pledge that asks presidential candidates to promise personal fidelity to their spouses, but said he ultimately decided to sign it. “The Marriage Vow – A Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family,” is the creation of The Family Leader, an Iowa-based conservative Christian group, and its CEO, Bob Vander Plaats.
Oh, and about those liberal activist judges…
(Another) provision in the pledge includes (a) promise to only appoint conservative judges, the Register reported. The Family Leader is the same group that thinks black children had it better during slavery.
