Consumers Create Jobs, not Wealthy People! How did we lose the messaging?

Underthemountainbunker.com came up with the picture below that tells the whole story, one that I've stressed over and over here as well; CONSUMERS are the job creators.

The tragedy is that the Democrats allowed, and continue to allow, Republicans to make the false claim wealthy people are the job creators. When they first introduced this nonsense we should have responded ; demand creates jobs; or, consumers are the job creators.

But the new false truism, like "fiscal conservatism," is that wealthy people are the job creators. I'm not hopeful we can ever take this incredible lie back.
