Olbermann Booted off MSNBC!!

Keith Olbermann signed off the air tonight, saying he was told it was his last night. In broadcast parlance; Your fired. Anytime someone gets the old "we wish him well in his future endeavors," they wanted them out the door, and fast. I can't tell you how many times I've heard those words. But that's the way it's done in this  business, irrationally and quick.

Comcast's purchase of NBC was just approved, could it be just chance MSNBC is cleaning house ? They say not, but don't believe it for a second, since their news property has just lost a big part of its value. A move like that doesn't go without consultation.

We wish him well, and hope his time away is brief.

Huffington Post: MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC's success and we wish him well in his future endeavors. Lawrence O'Donnell to fill the 8pm slot.
