George Will: "...by 2024, senior citizens will shop for health care. Imagine that."

I can't really imagine that.

Wanna really know the truth about what the Republican plan for Medicare is? Skip the Paul Ryan coded language, George Will stated it simply enough for even teabillies to understand:

Will: "...Patty Murray, the chairman who produced this, said Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare and Social Security, THE FOUR DRIVERS OF OUR FISCAL CRISIS,  none a dime will be touch from them...Paul Ryan's...radical idea is that by 2024, senior citizens will shop for health care. Imagine that. That's it."
First: Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are not the drivers of our fiscal crisis, Republican spending under Bush was; remember, we had "surpluses as far as the eye could see."-Mitch Daniels. Those programs weren't in trouble then. In recent surveys, the public actually wants to spend more to shore up those programs, not cut.

"Senior citizens will shop for health care." This line should be mentioned by every Democrat, every time Ryan's plan is brought up. I mean think about it. If you have an older parent, can you even imagine them navigating the health care system, a private one at that?

What's worse, like Scott Walker, Republicans will probably repealed a requirement that insurers write policies an 8th grader can understand. It's back to legalese folks. How do you think seniors will do reading that stuff. I don't even understand it. This insane idea tells me that they either don't have parents, or they're willing to throw em under the bus for a theory so bizarre, no nation has dared tried it.

Rep. John Boehner basically said as much here, even after Democrats offered cuts:
