Obama "The One" while McCain Worships Oil Company Idol

The Wonk Room chart proves McCain and the Republicans have learned nothing from the 2006 election losses. They're still appealing to the wealthy elites. So far, the elites are winning the message war, and may turn things around by appealing to a desperate public. Perhaps if they see more of their money going into the pockets of big oil, they'll wise up. For example, here's what the oil companies will gain in McCain’s tax plan, and what the taxpayers will have to make up for in lost revenues: Remember, Sen. Obama is a new face on the national scene, and has yet to be defined for the voting public. That's what the McCain campaign is doing, and succeeding at. It's simple marketing, nothing else. Sadly, Obama's team is not attempting to do the same with McCain, by redefining his newer public positions. Democrats lose when it comes to framing and positioning their ideas to a hungry electorate, and the people lose by having such an incompetent political party.
