It looks like we’re going to see six Republicans running as Democrats in the up coming Democratic Primary. It's sound crazy, I know. But it's part of the conservative movement to disrupt and tear down our current system of government, so they can replace it with a quasi corporate/individualistic society that can make the rules up as they go, unemcumbered by the Constitutional restraints put in by the founding fathers.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports:
The Clean Sweep for Wisconsin PAC, the brainchild of former GOP Sen. Tom Reynolds, saw six of eight candidates it supported land on the September primary ballot. Now, two of the candidates who received help from Clean Sweep, Phil Landowski and David King, have distanced themselves from the group.
Tom Reynolds, who has a radical reputation and is a card carrying member of the lunatic fringe, has not been sitting idly by watching his Party implode from the weight of its many contradictions. But, how loony is this guy: According to the Wisconsin State Journal, “He advocated raising the speed limit on Wisconsin's Interstates and even floated the idea of a privately owned Autobahn after he was ticketed for speeding. He once sent out a Christmas card with him and wife portraying Joseph and Mary.”
Here are a few laughable comments from this Republican Democrat:
“I never did sign his PAC pledge; I didn’t know a lot about Tom,” Landowski said. Reports indicate more of a connection. Landowski seems to defend him: http://phil4thefuture.com/?p=14. Landowski, also anti-abortion, said while he isn’t a member of the Dem party, he thinks of himself as a Democrat in the JFK mold. “But he did say Reynolds has “the right idea as far as what people in this district are looking for. They’re sick of Madison (liberal); they’re being taxed to death."
Let’s take an even deeper look at the real Phil Landowski: a 33-year-old, self-employed graphic designer and a graduate of Bob Jones University, was busted in ’99 for carrying a concealed weapon. He said he spent a day in jail. “So much for the Second Amendment,” Landowski sighed. Landowski and his wife are also listed as owing about $22,000 in five outstanding judgments. He said he has struggled financially. On the issues, Landowski said he is a fiscal conservative. Asked why he was running as a Democrat, Landowski said, “Because I’m not a Republican.” As if they’d want him.
Now that’s a Democrat? And who is David King, and how close is he to the Democratic Party?
King, who's taking on eight-term incumbent Rep. Leon Young, similarly said he's had very little to do with Reynolds and won't be taking any more contributions from the PAC. "I heard of him. I’m not connected to Clean Sweep." He's a pastor from Milwaukee and bus driver who says he's an anti-abortion, pro-school choice Democrat. "I am a Democrat, I’m just conservative," he said.
If you say you’re a Democrat, and your conservative, you must be a Democrat, right? Democratic incumbents can easily campaign against these silly stooges with the mere mention that these are Republicans running as Democrats. It’s that simple.
"Rep. Christine Sinicki, D-Milwaukee, provided the State Journal with the message from Reynolds, which she said he left on her cell phone after she inquired about Clean Sweep through its Web site using a false name. 'They're pretty much trying to pull a fraud on the voters,' she said, by running as Democrats but supporting an agenda often espoused by Republicans. Phil Landowsk acknowledged he has talked to the former West Allis senator about his campaign. His Web site includes positions similar to Clean Sweep."
