CNN's "Reality Check" was ridiculous. The idea is that "factually," when Obama was sworn in, unemployment was at 7.3 %, that would mean we're not better off now because unemployment is at 8.3 %. Heck, they even went back to election day, when unemployment was at 6.5 %...it must have been Obama's fault. An honest assessment is here, from Ezra Klein.
Think about that. The economy was in free fall, we were losing jobs fast, and then these CNN pundits chose to ignore the decline. After a grueling effort to prove the Democratic speakers wrong, they "factually" proved their empty, poorly made point. Oh, and their "reality check" included bashing Obama for the lousy jobs that were created. Yeah, that was his fault too.
