It's all here, Computer Beach Party, the movie.

Computer Beach Party is not only a great title, but an outrageous 1988 look at the future of computers. This old movie is the basis of a tour right now coming to a theatre near you, compliments of Found Footage Fest.

Wisconsin State Journal: It happened, like so many of the key moments in the lives of Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett, in a thrift shop.

The Stoughton natives are the masterminds of the Found Footage Festival, a hilarious collection of clips from public access variety shows, exercise videos, how-to videos and other bits of cultural flotsam from the VHS tape era.

In addition to selling DVDs through foundfootagefest.com, the duo takes the festival on the road every year for live shows around the country, and in every city they stop in, they make time to hit the local thrift stores in search of new material.

"We were as surprised as anybody that it was popular," Prueher said.
