We heard Gov. Palin mention over and over in stump speeches about American Exceptionalism, as though it provided the answers to everything, including the economic debacle. In truth, it's this extremist kind of thinking that isolates us from the outside world and alienates us from them, rejecting their solutions as "not our way." This "go it alone" attitude is holding us back.
Sen. Debbie Stabenow offers up a short list of "good government" areas of involvement, that would make life a little better for everyone.
