Townhall's Amanda Carpenter: "Another Time the Maverick Came out and Disappointed"

On PBS's To the Contrary, Townhall.com's Amanda Carpenter summarizes what here sites viewers thought of John McCain caving in to the Wall Street Bailout plan. She firmly believes McCain, strategically, should have opposed the rescue plan. It would have been a "high pay off risk." Does that sound like "country first?" For Republicans, everything is a game, doing whatever it takes to win, instead of what might be best for the country. And talk about a me first philosophy...

"This is just another time the maverick came out and disappointed them...Many of them would rather risk their 401k's on the free market than handing it over to the people who should have been conducting oversight in the first place."

I'm glad Townhall.com conservatives are willing to take a chance with my money (401k) along with theirs. The free market failure should have given Republicans a gut check on what they believed to be good policy, but instead, learning from history is not part of their agenda.
