In memory ...
AP-President Bush said Thursday that after the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 fade from memory, history will look back at America's response and conclude that "we did not tire, we did not falter and we did not fail." Afterward, Bush signed tiny American flags handed up from the crowd.
CNN-The grooved, gray concrete wall rising from a few inches to a few feet seems to be solely for blocking the noise from the nearby highway, Seven years after the September 11 attack on the Pentagon, the wall is designed to remind visitors of the youngest and oldest victims, wrapping the memorial in symbolic imagery. "The Pentagon memorial will stand as an everlasting tribute to 184 innocent souls who perished on these grounds," Bush said.
… I will not forget under whose watch and responsibility the attacks took place.
The idea that George W. Bush has protected anyone in this country, is an imagined political marketing image, and a cynical attempt to rewrite history.
