I don't know how he does it, but Hardball's Chris Matthews is getting the Republican sycophants to open up in ways that are most embarrassing.
Take Todd Harris, former McCain spokesperson, when he gets Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mixed up. It must have been the first time this fiscal conservative had to use such technical terms. No one, I mean no one, gets the names confused like this, without having a basic ignorance of economic issues. The Republicans are showing their true stripes now.
